WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?!?!?

...is what I just shouted at my computer screen. I was browsing the Facebook community of Doctor Who and looking at pictures when I came across a cute (and very sad) screencap of that bit in Family of Blood where John Smith has his sort of...flash-forward. He is at his wedding, kissing Joan and it's sweet and sad because you know it will never happen. AND WHAT DOES EVERY SINGLE COMMENT ON THE PICTURE SAY?
"biiiiiiiiiiiitch!"
"hu.....is that bitch kissing the doctor"
"Ah the feckin' bitch. I'd be crying if I were Martha."
"What A BITch kissin the doctor"
And my personal favourite: "this whole story made me yawn... but was still mildly engaging on some level. dont ask me what level i wasnt quite paying attention. hehe"
Newsflash everyone: THE DOCTOR IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. EVEN IF HE WAS REAL, YOU WOULD HAVE NO CHANCE WITH HIM. Also, THIS NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED! That's what makes it so SAD. The Doctor's life can never be this happy, not even this season, I'm sure. Like, it was one of the saddest scenes ever in Doctor Who (New Seasons) because of the intangibility of the dream-image, and to react to it by calling Joan Redfern a bitch (which is in itself disturbingly sexist) just proves what sort of vitriolic, horrendous human beings you are. Rant over.
(...Maybe I'll do comments of Fires of Pompei tomorrow, when I'm not so angry.)
